The Ministry of MOHIA Announcement
The Commencement of the Five Daily Congregational Prayers at the Eidgah Grand Mosque of Kabul
The Ministry of MOHIA, in its efforts to revive religious values and rituals, to realize the mission of mosques in reforming society and playing an active and effective role—both materially and spiritually—has undertaken a series of fundamental initiatives.
One of the most significant of these initiatives is the activation and continuous operation of the grand and historic central mosque of the capital—Eidgah Mosque in Kabul—to ensure that the five daily congregational prayers are established regularly and permanently within it.
Previously, this mosque was only used for the two Eid prayers, but now the Ministry has decided to officially open the mosque for daily use on Thursday, 15th Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to 15th Aqrab 1404 SH, through a formal ceremony, allowing citizens of Kabul to gather there for all five daily prayers.
Therefore, residents of Kabul, especially those living near the Eidgah Mosque, are sincerely encouraged to take part—wholeheartedly and with devotion—in strengthening and spiritually reviving this great mosque. In addition to Eid and Friday prayers, they are urged to attend and establish the five daily congregational prayers regularly.
