Announcement by the Ministry of MOHIA

The 42nd Round of the International Holy Quran Competition is scheduled to be held in the Islamic Republic of Iran during the month of Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to Jadi 1404 SH. The competition will include the following categories:

1- Full memorization of the Holy Quran with Tajweed 

2- Recitation in Tahqiq style with Tajweed (Husn al-Qira’ah) 

3- Recitation in Tarteel style with Tajweed and Husn al-Ada’ (beautiful delivery)

The host country has requested the participation of three distinguished reciters from our Islamic homeland, Afghanistan, in this competition.

Therefore, all respected memorizers and reciters of the Holy Quran who wish to participate are invited to appear for the qualifying exam and subsequent procedures on Sunday, 21/3/1447 AH, corresponding to 23/6/1404 SH, at 8:30 AM, at the Qurra Affairs Directorate, located at Fayz Mohammad Khan Square, opposite Esmat Muslim Street, Shahr-e-Naw, bringing their original national ID (Tazkira).

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Must not have previously secured first place in the competitions held in the mentioned country. 

2. Must possess the original national ID (Tazkira).

3. For Hifz with Tajweed: the participant's age must be between 18 and 35; for Tahqiq and Tarteel: must not exceed 40 years of age. 

4. The participant must be able to correctly pronounce authentic Arabic sounds and dialects across the entire Quran. 

5. The participant’s appearance and character must be in accordance with the Prophetic Sunnah (peace be upon him). 

6. The participant must be male.
