The second session of the Guidance Committee for the Regulation of Mosque Affairs was held

under the chairmanship of Sheikh Al-Hadith Maulavi Zar Muhammad Haqani Deputy Minister professional , the sector-appointed leader, and with the participation of Maulavi Muhammad Nabi Mohammadi, the General Director of Guidance and Coordination of Mosque Affairs, and Maulavi Muhammad Ashraf Haqani, the Head of Religious Education and Training of Imams at the MOHIA. The session was attended by mosque imams from the second, fourth, and tenth districts of Kabul city, held in the conference hall of the Imam Training Institute.

The session began with the recitation of verses from the Holly Quran, followed by Sheikh Al-Hadith Maulavi Zar Muhammad Haqani, the sector-appointed leader, considering imamate as a significant responsibility and service in the Islamic system. He emphasized that if the leadership of the government is in the hands of scholars, it is called a legitimate and Islamic system.

He further added that unfortunately, there is an intellectual war against our system and people, and no one can hinder it except scholars and mosque imams.

Regarding guidance programs in mosques, he mentioned: Mosque imams are leaders and respected individuals, and they should organize circles of jurisprudential and creedal study, Quran translation and interpretation courses in mosques for the reform and education of their communities. They should also work on improving their knowledge, recitation, and oratory skills.

Later, the General Director of Guidance and Coordination of Mosque Affairs delivered a speech, stating that the guidance sessions with mosque imams are initiated as per the guidance of the respected authorities of the Ministry.

He expressed that the current system has brought security to the country, which is a great blessing for the nation, especially for the esteemed scholars.

Mr. Mohammadi requested the mosque imams to deliver a unified sermon and a weekly guidance sermon in the mosques.

At the end of the session, the Head of Religious Education and Training of Imams presented the characteristics of a good Imam and provided information about the training programs of the department to enhance the capabilities and public speaking skills of the imams. The gathering concluded with a prayer for goodness.
