The Minister of MOHIA, at the head of a delegation, visited the construction process of a facility for the preservation of worn-out copies of the Holy Qur’an in Kabul.

The Minister of MOHIA, His Excellency Sheikh al-Hadith, Dr. Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Saqib, led a delegation that included the Professional Deputy Minister, Mawlawi Mohammad Hamid Hasib, and a number of central directors of the ministry, to inspect the progress of constructing a special facility intended for the preservation of worn-out copies of the Holy Qur’an, its parts, religious books, and sacred papers. This facility is being built in the Darul Aman area of Kabul city.
The Honorable Minister praised the efforts and activities of the officials and staff involved in this project and described this initiative as an important and valuable step toward preserving the sanctity of sacred texts and safeguarding important Islamic values. He also provided the relevant officials with necessary guidance and recommendations to better organize affairs, accelerate the work process, and ensure the standard completion of the project.
The special facility, whose excavation and construction work is underway in the mountainous area of Darul Aman by dozens of personnel affiliated with the Ministry of National Defense on a round-the-clock (24-hour) basis using advanced machinery, has so far achieved approximately thirty percent (30%) progress. It is expected that the remaining work will be completed in the near future and the facility will be put into operation.
The purpose of this initiative is to collect, honor, and preserve worn-out copies of the Holy Qur’an, its parts, religious books, and other sacred papers by the Ministry of MOHIA, in accordance with the special directive of His Eminence the Commander of the Faithful (may Allah protect him) across the country. At present, the process of establishing such facilities is underway in a number of provinces, and it is planned to begin in all provinces of the country in the near future
