Makkah – 13 Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to 20 Jawza 1404 HS

Thirty thousand (30,000) Afghan pilgrims, under the management and supervision of the Ministry of MOHIA of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, completed this year’s Hajj rituals in a highly organized and successful manner.

On the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah, the pilgrims were transferred from Makkah to Mina to begin the Hajj rituals, with all necessary facilities provided by the ministry.

On the night of the 9th, after spending the night in Mina, the pilgrims traveled with their instructors to Arafat—considered the most important day of Hajj—where they spent the day in prayer, Quran recitation, repentance, and voluntary worship.

Sheikh al-Hadith Dr. Noor Mohammad Saqib, Minister of MOHIA, visited the Afghan pilgrims at Arafat, inspected their tents and the facilities provided, and delivered a comprehensive speech. Teachers also delivered sermons on the virtues of the Day of Arafah

After sunset, the pilgrims moved to Muzdalifah, where they offered Maghrib and Isha prayers together and spent the night in worship. After Fajr prayer, they performed the stay (Wuquf) at Muzdalifah and collected stones for the stoning ritual (Ramy al-Jamarat).

On the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, the Day of Sacrifice and stoning of Jamarat al-Aqaba, the pilgrims, accompanied by their instructors, went to Jamarat, where they stoned the first pillar (symbolic of Satan) with seven stones. This continued in the following days.

All rituals were conducted under the effective arrangements and extensive services provided by the Ministry.

Thanks be to Allah, no major issues arose during the days of the rituals, and the blessed days were managed smoothly. The pilgrims have now returned from Mina to their accommodations.
